Avocet To Certify CF6-50 Engines

Avocet signs Common Terms Agreement with I2I Engines, LLC to certify CF6-50 series engines “on-wing”. These certified engines will be added to I2I’s engine pool to support CF6 powered DC-10, A300, and B747 aircraft currently operating.

Construction Update #2

Thursday, June 10th, 2010

We are excited to present the following update:

  • The concrete for the hangar’s floor has been poured as well most of the ramp that connects the hangar to the asphalt
  • Approximately 95% of the underground items, such as sewer pipes, have been completed and the block work on the offices has started
  • The electric and phone lines have been “roughed in” to the office area, communication room, and pump house
  • Approximately 50% of the permanent fencing is up

Construction is moving ahead of schedule and will be completed for our January 2011 grand opening! Keep checking back for more updates as construction moves forward…

SANFORD, Fla. — Avocet Aircraft is moving its operation to Sanford-Orlando International Airport and bringing jobs to the area.

Avocet is expected to bring more than 100 new jobs that will pay nearly $20 per hour when it moves all of its operations from Miami to Sanford in a few months.

Orlando Sanford International Airport has awarded a $4.7 million contract to Spolski Construction Co. of Sanford to build a hangar, office and maintenance facility for Avocet Capital LLC. Construction on the facility is expected to start in late spring.
